NURSERY IN SILVERWOOD SCHOOL MARYLAND

As pre-schoolers gain more self-esteem, they may feel ready to take on the world. Our early foundations school programme fosters that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities and hands-on learning, children will work on early literacy, math, science and social studies concepts.

Your pre-schooler will learn age-appropriate social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills. Socially, they work and cooperate as a group, understand social concepts like “please” and “thank you” and help in the classroom with the setting up. Emotionally, they take comfort in using familiar objects, expanding the mind by trying new things and gaining confidence from success. Physically, their balance, motor skills and coordination are strengthened. They engage in running, jumping, throwing, tearing, cutting, pasting, colouring and pegging, etc. Their intellectual development is enhanced by recognizing and writing letters and words, participating in picture reading exercises with correct choice of words, identifying numbers counting and estimating items, exploring physical properties of water, sand and paper.

Nursery 1 (4-5 years)
The kindergaitener 1 is preparing for the adventure of a lifetime in school. Nursery 2 (5-6 years)

Your Child’s Day

Children spend time with friends and enjoy activities that are relevant and interesting. We help children think, feel, and experience new challenges. In our programmes, children will develop complex coordination skills, engage with peers, and practice group work activities. They will begin to express their goals and wishes as they seek self-identity and exposure in an age-appropriate way. What your child will learn
Children learn new social, emotional, physical, communication and intellectual skills. Socially they make new friends, collaborate, compete, have discussions, understand and follow rules, learn to negotiate and coordinate.
